i morphed an octopus and snakes because I thought it would be really cool if there was an octopus that had legs of a snake. at first I just outlined the entire Peice. Next I started one like the head and making it looks kind of reel. And then just did like the snakes and there face with him took a long time to do. Then I did some more specific thing the the face like the eyes and the lines around them. Then the last thing I did was the back ground witch took the most time but it came out ok in the end. the most successful thing on this project was the background because it really made my work stuck out even though it took so much time. But if I could go back and change something I would change the scales in the spider and make it look at little more realistic but other than that I thing I did an ok job. Helpfull warmup this was the most helpful warmup because it really helped me with shading and showing light.
Colored pencilRegular PencilPen ArtWarm Up My favorite medium is defiantly pen because i can get some really dark smooth lines on the dot, but it is a little bad because i can not erase when i mess up. My second favorite is the pencil just because you can do it so much and keep on erasing every time you mess up, the only thing is that its not that easy to get it really dark but other than that its great. I do not hate colored pencils but there just not my favorite but i really enjoy it because you can make thing supper color full and looks really nice.
Brett Kern is the artist that inspired me because his work is just so cool and i just do not understand how he makes it look so real. He mostly does sculpture. His link is http://brettkernart.com/ . One thing that really draws me in is just how amazing his work is and how realistic it looks.
